Staggeringly painful. Last person on earth lonely. The one eyed cat pushed me off the edge. This is writing with a scalpel and reading with some band aids. And the song could make the ghosts cry. Mercy!
ah, thank you Scarlett and Happy New Year! The next high lonesome cover is in the works - "Wayfaring Stranger". If you ever told me I might cover bluegrass music I would fall on the floor laughing, but damn if that is exactly what my muse brought me to. Never say never!
Thanks David. I'm deep into another High Lonesome cover (also in that falsetto) "Wayfaring Stranger" this time. it has an ocean of little banjola and mandolin accents around the guitar. it's a good challenge.
Thank you Annette. The iPhone image I used in today's posts in a bit like a polaroid, something instant and convenient. I was with a film camera on the same day, a Hasselblad that shoots wide images (widescreen, as in Cinemascope) so with any luck, that one will be seen in January, once I get film back from the lab.
Sending you a New Year hand of greeting from a diverted-journey airport hotel room, watching the planes take off and fly under a leaden sky and waiting to be on one of them.
Dave, I saw that - Sauvignon for the win! May you travel soon enough. Ah, the airport pause. I tend to write books that I imagine people will read while stuck in an airport. It is a truly niche audience......

You slay it, so clever muse.
The photo brings this slice of a song to mind-
And they wrote it all down as the progress of man.
I like the higher pitch. Explore that more.

Have a swell Eve!
I'm glad you took that photo! It's so evocative, the dilapidated cabinet teetering, echoing the buildings behind it, who are not teetering, yet.

Have a sweet and lovely New Years!
A touching trifecta of photo, guitar song, and written story. Bravo, Marco!
Big thanks Joe, stay safe and have a sweet New Years. We may go out to meet some friends halfway down Rustaveli.
Happy New Year
thanks Vigg! Right back at you.
