The photograph is haunting. So wildly pagan. If you feel, or ever felt, not special enough, it was that you were too special. The academy hates it when you embody what they cannot teach.
thanks Scarlett. I shot film on this day as well, can;t wait to see how those images look. It was such a pagan afternoon. all of that fresh air was exhausting!
That's an amazing picture. I think they should have done this in the moonlight.
You are special, so I think it worked. I will have to copy that and share it with my son, though. He thinks that I made him feel that way; maybe it was Montessori (which he loved, I thought.)
Montessori is all at once, a badge of a cool childhood, a blessing and a curse (but mostly a blessing) and a nagging voice in your head that may urge you on to greatness. I am glad I went.
Yeah, we had them several times at the Variety over the years and they were so good to work with, never late for their soundcheck, big with us, and very gracious, fun and just cool as can be. And their shows were always great!

ah yes. I'm so lucky to know all three of them. Maggie was lost way too soon. Suzzy is on tour with her daughter Lucy, who has a little baby girl now.

I'm still amazed at the alignment of planets that put them, and Fripp together in so many ways. worlds collide!
You are special enough. And these photos are fantastic! I love that she tests you...
I spilled some juice one day and ran out of the school crying like a baby. It was a big deal. I was telling myself "your life will be like this"!
Aaaaaw, life IS like that, but it’s what we do with it, right?
I was not ready to embrace that big ugly truth.
I also thought those boxes of raisins would win me a lady love, so I was in way over my head.
my kids loved the montessori school on the big island and I did too. I think might be the teacher. they were at their most natural, full of joy.
I like your writing.
