Well, this one was different. Now I have a tear in one eye and a pit in my stomach. .......we cling to whatever roots are poking out, as the mountain slides into the sea, so please don’t take them away from us. We have so little left, so let’s fantasize that these things are still of use, that if we build some shelves and pull those old books from their boxes, record those old songs from the ether, imagining that will mean something tomorrow..... That's the part that got me.

thanks for saying that Anne. I'm up, I'm down, I'm on the mat, stand back up, get lost, don;t recognize my own voice - it's murky out there.

An old friend that adores my music just suggested I consider doing a children's music album. it's funny, I have an old plan for lullabies that is in the "someday" file. I do like the idea of writing songs kids might like. The first one might be about the lost and fond box, and one mitten.

I used to play Michèle on my ukelele but my son broke it so today will trellis the tomatoes with string and bamboo....that which is available. Just got this message in my garden. Good on you!

thank you Kelly. I'm all upside down with my next album of original songs, and sometimes it make more sense to sing someone else's song, in the right moment, to help find some clarity. It feels so impossible to write anything relevant right now, it feels dated, out of touch, tone deaf, etc.... well, people have done it before, it is possible. in any case that is how this happened.

G, Em, Am, C.... who could resist?!?!?!?!

the bridge with the A7 and D7 sound so happy, that was the biggest obstacle. what to say, a good hill to die on.
